I was the Artistic Director of Maenad Theatre in Canada where for over 10 years we created new women centred works of theatre - 2 main stage shows and one three week festival and cabaret each year for 10 years. I create arts events & festivals and have a focus on outdoor creation experiences.

Alison Mann is a playwright and performance maker based in lutruwita / Tasmania. She is the recipient of several awards including a First Draft Award from PLAYWORKS, Sydney and a Melbourne Dramatists Emerging Playwright Award. In 2017 Alison received the Tasmanian Arts Advisory Board Scholarship, undertaking mentorships with ground breaking performance maker Maude Davey and internationally renowned playwright Tom Holloway. I am a theater director and the first chairperson of Can.Act e.V., a non-profit association dedicated to supporting artists in challenging circumstances. Originally from Moscow, I moved to Berlin in 2022 due to political persecution for my pro-Ukrainian stance.
I have a rich background in classic drama, having trained in Russia, and have further honed my skills in physical theater with renowned companies such as Troubleyn/Jan Fabre, etc.

Ann has danced with Anna Sokolow's Players' Project, Manuel Alum, and Impulse Theatre & Dance, among others. She is the director of Perspectives In Motion, which she founded in NYC in 1988. Originally focused exclusively on dance performance, today Perspectives In Motion is engaged in collaborative, multi-disciplinary projects that explore movement, mind and human evolution in relation to systemic health. In addition to her work as a movement artist, Ann is also an educator, researcher, writer and director.
