WORKSHOPS & TALKSHOPS - MAGDALENA@25
Dear Festival Guests and Participants,
We are pleased to announce the program of morning workshops & talkshops for the Magdalena@25. These daily, 9am - 12 noon , sessions are an opportunity for sharing work as opposed to the teaching model. We asked each of the leaders to try something new - something experimental and not to consider that they had to be 'teachers'.
The Talkshops are an opportunity for your own discussion and debate. Perhaps you would like to talk about your own work as an individual artist or you want to discuss one of the themes of the festival in more detail. In your registration pack there will be details of how to suggest a topic for the Talkshops. Some topics have already been suggested and these are listed below.
At registration on August 16th you will be invited to sign up to the sessions you want to attend.

This laboratory is a collective study on the sources of performance, it will focus on the staging of elements emerging from three songs by the band Sonic Youth sung by Kim Gordon. The workshop culminates in a performance on Saturday night.

We will choose titles from sections of the show and participants will apply them to their own history.
