Elizabeth de Roza

I am a performance maker, theatre director, solo artist, performer, a multi-disciplinary performance artist and an embodied researcher/practitioner. I create my work from contemporary performance practices perspectives on notions of hybridity, interactivity, cross-disciplinary+cultural art and collaboration. My training in performance-making draws from traditional Asian theatrical training/performing methods, martial arts (kalaripayattu)and contemporary art practices. I am also a researcher, and I focus on issues of the body in space and cross-overs between performance and performance arts while redefining performance installations. Over the years,  I have been fortunate to collaborate with various international performance groups creating works that are cross-disciplinary, inter-cross cultural and 'beyond borders' at numerous international festivals (USA, Germany, Sri Lanka, UK, Asia).  I have participated in several Magdelena's' festivals such as those held in Cuba, Brazil, USA, Denmark, Mexico.
