Material held by Madeline McNamara and I think also some is still in my garage: admin relating to the organisation of the 1999 festival; videos, photos and information about the artists and performances presented; documentation about Magdalena Aotearoa activities since 1999, including workshop series, Treaty workshops, visits by Teatro delle Radici, Josefina Baez, Jadranka Andjelic, Antonella Diana and Rosa Casado; and documentation of the three Gatherings, held from 2007-2009.
There are photo albums and various books, some copies of the Open Page, and copies of the Magdalena Aotearoa newsletter dating back to before the festival (the first issue was i think 1997) up until 2010 when we stopped producing it. There were also some gifts amongst the archives, e.g. small artworks given by visiting artists.
I will need to check with Madeline about exactly what is where; probably most of it is in storage in her shed at Paekakariki & i think some might be in my garage.
... yes we will get everything together that we can and send it through. We have quite a lot of stuff. Luckily Lisa and Janet and I just last year had a couple of archive meetings and sorted out a great deal of stuff. Threw away heaps but kept copies of all the important things. We have another session to go to complete the process and this is a good catalyst for us to do this. We have also placed a complete set of the newsletters with our Alexander Turnbill Library here in Wellington. We can also make a set and send it to you along with all the other things if you dont already have oneand think that it is relevant or useful to have.
So we will meet and figure out our answers to all the questions and send what we can. Shall we correspond with you over this or would you like us to correspond directly with whoever is organising it if it isnt you?
