Bringing joy through theatre to women and girls in Thailand
We are thrilled to share our latest project: Arts for Community-Based Healing in Northern Thailand in collaboration with the New Life Centre Foundation (NLCF). Their mission is to empower tribal women in the upper Mekong to create positive change in their lives and communities by disrupting cycles of abuse and injustice that disproportionately affect women. This program embodies our commitment to sharing the transformative power of theatre with communities who wish to use the arts for collective healing.
In January, we embark on a training program in partnership with NLCF, and 10 NGO staff members from organizations dedicated to improving the lives of youth who are at risk for, or victims of, human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Through the program, the 10 participants will experience Bond Street Theatre's innovative methods for psychosocial support. Our curriculum focuses on stimulating the imagination, creative play, and creating short scenes that promote positive actions to improve young lives. In addition, we integrate diverse art forms like mask-making, dance and music.
Your continued support fuels these projects and makes a tangible difference.
Together, let's spread the joy of the arts and provide communities with the healing power of theatre. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.
With gratitude,
Joanna, Michael, Casey, and Eve
