Yuan-Tang Chen

My name is Yuan-Tang,Chen,From Taiwan. I graduated from National University of Tainan,I am Master of Arts which of Deperment of Drama Creation and Application .And now I am studying in Chung Yuan Christian University,which is (Ph.D)Program in Design.I am a mother,a teacher and an artist of theatre.I have two children,who are very important people to me ,inspire and teach me a lot! I am good at writing(articles of reviews,poems and plays),thinking and teaching,all work of mine is aimed to the communication between people and person himself,and I try to know how art reflect and connect it?Can art be a solution of communication of people?
I have Multiple interest ,so that I work in theater,which comprehensive all kinds of art. Jing-Xiang, a Taichung local theatre, was established in 2012 by my husband Zhen-Zon,Chen g and me. Jing-Xiang, in Chinese, integrates the idea of local landscape with a focus in contemporary art. The aim is to introduce talented Avant-garde artists and their ideas to our audiences.My goal is to peel away our outer shells to reveal our hearts' desire to show the world the land of my birth and to connect with people of all backgrounds.
Until now, I am the playwright and directer of two programs of Jing-Xiang, one was《You have no name in the night which is losing words》which produced at 2012,and one is 《The Oracle,the Evening》which produced at 2017. In these plays,I care about the communation between the writer and the readers,and the distant from artists to audience, and I try to make the landscape of mind inside visible on the stage.I try to see and show other meaning of story and words.so that I try to evoke audiences imagine by the image and sounds in my pieces on stage.
