Annalisa Derr

I am a 2nd year graduate student at Pacifica Graduate Institute where I will receive a Masters/PhD in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology. My particular focus is on the world's goddess archetypes through the lens of Mary Magdalene.In May/June 2014 I embarked on a self-guided Mary Magdalene pilgrimage and am planning another for 2016.

In fall 2014, I collaborated with Seattle based Jakku House to create a site specific, experiential, ritual theater piece, "Journey to the Goddess," based on my Mary Magdalene quest. This piece has evolved into a series of workshops that give participants a direct experience of the archetypal feminine divine through embodied movement, sound, repetition, and ritual.
