Born to Burn

Born to Burn productions (B2B) is a not-for-profit theatre group. A community-based association, it was created in Dublin, Ireland, in 2013. The aims of Born to Burn productions are to promote stage work by and about women, and to facilitate the development of skills in theatre production.

B2B's first project, the play "A Pair of New Eyes", was a multimedia period drama about two extraordinary but now-forgotten historical women who lived in Ireland in the nineteenth century, Mary Rosse and Mary Ward, who were world-wide pioneers in science and art. The world premiere of the play took place in November 2013 at the Sean O'Casey Theatre in Dublin, and it received an enthusiastic response.

B2B's second project, "Women Dont Bite", is a series of short plays presented as a single show. The plays are protagonised by women, set in contemporary Ireland, and penned by six new Irish writers. The world premiere of "Women Dont Bite" is scheduled for May 2014.
