There are works of visual arts, that we ignore and others that remain in our memory through our life. Visiting a museum, there are some works from which we could not even remember its dimensions and others that resonate in our body, and that often return to our memory.
The workshop participants will be inspired by some art Works, and will be led by Else Marie Laukvik and Gregorio Amicuzi. A physical theatre, training and stage creation workshop.
For five hours, actors and dancers will work, taking inspiration from a painting that they’ve chosen. The workshop will be divided in two parts, one of physical, rhythmic and vocal training and another phase of creation.
Participants will need to bring a printed image in colour and also send it in digital format to the pedagogues.

Change (that is, a situation that was disturbed), and the ability to recognize it, is the main and fundamental aspect of each drama.
How can an actor, an interpreter work for the readability of his line of action?
How, when making a live transmission of permanent movements, structure them within their internal micro-dramaturgical potential?
How to create a body/text without resorting to a common body language?
During the workshop, two main practical ideas will be confronted that are fundamentally connected in the actor's trade: the Organic Field and the Dramatic Field, intertwined and dependent on each other.

11.30 - 14.00 (Group 1) “The musical body” directed by Jean-Jacques Lemêtre del Théâtre du Soleil (France).
This workshop is open to all who want to search, discover and experience the sound possibilities of their own body. Group and individual exercises will be proposed, which will lead to a musical development process that is based on the creative experience of Jean-Jacques Lemêtre at the Théâtre du Soleil.
The practice will offer the opportunity to explore, in its specificity, the language of each person, not only through the voice but also through the whole body. Jean-Jacques Lemêtre invites us to overcome the technique, insisting, for example on the analogy between the problems of dissociation and the disharmony of the human being, questioning the artist about his relationship with his environment, to conceive and deepen the relationship between rhythm and theatre music.

11.30 - 14.30 Bharata Natyam and Kalaripayattu – Indian traditions of dance and acting. Led by Revanta Sarabhai of Darpana Academy of No Violence (India).
Bharata Natyam is perhaps the most famous of all the classical dances of India and is characterized by the use of intricate hand gestures (Mudras), rhythmic facial expressions and play with rhythmic feet.
During the workshop, this ancient dance will be introduced as well as a variety of rhythms and rhythmic cycles (taalas) that belong to the classical Indian tradition.
With claps, spoken syllables and rhythm games, musicians and dancers will explore rhythmic patterns and use them as a means to create compositions or movements.
During the workshop, training derived from Kalaripayattu, a traditional form of martial art from India, will also be used. Originally from the state of Kerala in southern India, Kalaripayattu is one of the oldest martial arts in the world. Since the 1980s, several choreographers have begun using movements inspired by Kalaripayattu to develop a unique contemporary dance vocabulary. This is an excellent training, to increase flexibility, develop centre strength, balance, agility and endurance.
The workshop is open both to people interested in the tradition of India and to dance and theatre professionals.

19.00 Anamnesis of Voice . Lecture by Jarosław Fret.
Voice constitutes our presence. An attempt to understand its essence brings us closer to knowing the essence of humanity and the phenomenon of being a person.
In my work, the Pneumatics of an Actor are a way of understanding life-in-ourselves which is the breath. There are thousands of techniques to discover the pneumatic centre in our bodies. But the voice as the médium of the Word will always remain the most sensitive instrument of this discovery. The Pneumatics of an Actor are fundamental biomechanics of the body and the memory path that lives in us.I believe that remembrance is the fundamental function of art. Téchnē (τέχνη) can’t exist without anamnesis.
Theatre through anamnesis can transmit/transit and transgress the experience foreign to me that does not consist of the same elements as before, but it is deeply human and legible. Through infinitive requiem about crossing, I tried to build a field message for all those whom neither we will not know the names or even numbers.
One of the fundamental shifts within our anthropological approach to defining a performer’s score is: not any more to see it ‘only’ as restoration of behaving but rather as restoration/recomposed experience. Theatre/performance shall be understood as ‘recomposed experience’.
We will not be able to remember anything even if everything we understand we would understand only thanks to memory.

21.0 “The Musical Body”, work demonstration by Jean-Jacques Lemêtre of Théâtre du Soleil (France).
Jean-Jacques Lemêtre is a french musician and composer with gipsy origin.
Emblematic member of Théâtre du Soleil directed by Ariane Mnouchkine for more than thirty years. Composes and interprets all the compositions of all the shows of the company.
In the work demonstration, Jean-Jacques Lemêtre will talk about his career, the musical composition that finds its place in the dramaturgical development of a show. You will remember that at the beginning of the theatre there is music. For him, in learning the arts, theatre, dance and music should not be separated. It is a true symbiosis between musician, director, set designers and actor/dancer that must be created.

18.30 "The Chronic Life" a film by Chiara Crupi on one of the last group performances directed by Eugenio Barba. With the presence of the author.
Chronic Life is set in several European countries in the year 2031 after the Third Civil War.
Groups of people and individuals come together and begin to confront each other about their divergent dreams, disappointments and desires.
A boy from Latin America arrives in search of his father, who has inexplicably disappeared. People say to the boy: "Stop looking for your father" while they accompany him from one door to the other. The boy is not saved by his wisdom, nor by his innocence, but a newly discovered ignorance leads him to his door.
All this happens in the bewilderment of us, who no longer believe in the incredible: that the life of a single victim is invaluable, worth more than God.
