Natasha Mirny

NatashaMirny is a stage director, choreographer and teaching artist. Her background is in pantomime, physical theater and puppetry. She graduated from Moscow State University with MA in journalism and she holds a professional diploma of pantomime and physical theater director from Moscow Academy of Culture. Natasha started her career as a stage director at one of the largest puppet theaters in Moscow, Russia. For the past seven years Natasha has devised, directed and choreographed fifteen shows for children and adults. Natasha has been running her own theater company since 2011. She founded Happy Theater company (www.happytheater.com) in 2015 when she moved to Washington, DC area. Natasha is currently a faculty member at National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, and she is also working as teaching artist at several Art Integration programs in DC area. She has also been developing her own method of developing score and working with text for professional actors and choreographers inspired by how the sounds that we make using our voice can move our body.
